Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-22

This Privacy Policy explains how [Legal business name] (“SolaceTix”, “we”, “us”), based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, handles personal information when you use solacetix.com.

Information we collect

  • Email address and alert details (event, target price, alert types) when you create a price-drop or on-sale alert.
  • Email address when you sign up for our newsletter or the browser-extension waitlist.
  • Your country/currency preference, stored in your browser’s local storage.
  • Usage data: if enabled, we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (e.g. Plausible) that collect aggregate information such as pages viewed, referring site, device type and country. It does not use cookies or build cross-site profiles.
  • Outbound clicks: when you click “View deal”, we record which seller and event you clicked (not who you are) to measure which deals are useful and to reconcile affiliate commissions.
  • Messages you send us by email.

We do not collect payment card details. Purchases happen on the seller’s website under its own privacy policy.

Preview status: in the current preview build, alerts and sign-ups are stored only in your own browser and are not sent to us. [Update this section when an email provider is connected.]

How we use it

  • To send alerts and emails you asked for.
  • To operate, secure and improve the site.
  • To measure affiliate performance in aggregate.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases (UK/EEA visitors): consent (alerts, newsletter), legitimate interests (site security, aggregate analytics), and legal obligation.

Consent for email (Canada): we only send commercial emails with your express consent, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run SolaceTix — such as our hosting provider, email delivery provider and analytics provider — under contracts that require them to protect it. [List providers, e.g. Cloudflare/Netlify/Vercel, email provider, Plausible.] We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Sellers receive information about you only if you go to their site and give it to them.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in Canada, the United States, the UK or the EU. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Retention

Alert data is kept until the event has passed or you delete the alert; newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Aggregate analytics may be kept longer.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under PIPEDA in Canada, UK GDPR in the UK, or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your information, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Email [privacy@solacetix.com] to make a request. UK residents may complain to the ICO; Canadian residents to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

SolaceTix is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We’ll post updates here and change the “Last updated” date.
